I don't know because going to Christian (not Jesus Camp) Youth Camps was the best times of my young life. The leaders would often be involved in harmless pranks and very patient with any who were true rebels but mostly I recall it was really great to be with young people who were either Christians or had the same background as you did in common. What awesome preaching, singing and services at youth camp. I also went with a friend to a different denomination. It wasn't as fun.
Very encouraging and I made life long friends from those days. Oh and Ashley, I had gay friends who were like 15 then and they didn't pull that kind of disrespectful stuff. They just had fun with everyone else and contained themselves for the short duration of one week and didn't try to sneak porn or fondle others of their same sex. (WHO MESSED WITH YOU MAN?? NOT THE CHRISTIANS. I'M REALLY SORRY FOR YOU!) I don't think they were there by force either and nobody mistreated them.
I don't know what organizations some of you people grew up with but several of you guys sound really damaged (angry, bitter, hurt, sarcastic, etc.) so it can't have been what I was privileged to know. I wish every one of you could have enjoyed the awesome blessings and fellowship I had growing up with some of the best people in the world. It makes me to realize that I have truly been blessed and maybe I can share that now so others can have life more abundantly through Jesus Christ in their hearts now that camp days are over.
