I only know from the local community and fellowship here so couldn't give you demographics on any polls taken lately! I say the love of many has waxed cold and satan is beginning to scatter the power of the saints and is working overtime because his time is short. Also, I've seen the numbers dwindle and think we are in the "falling away" time. Also, many have started taking on worldly things like the Titanic took on water. Very alarming. Use to be they wouldn't touch those things.
What Christians watch T.V. anyway? I was convicted of that. I even quit the news and the Christian programs were hardly Christian with the harlots and the charlatans begging for money for "God's work"--NOT!! There was hardly any meat to pick off the bones! (A colored Christian lady says she goes somewhere and just takes the meat and leaves the bones!)

What you see on the surface of Christianity in the public view is not what you see behind the scenes. There are literally thousands upon thousands and more that are living their lives quietly being an example of Christ in their daily lives. There are missionaries still sacrificing their lives in some countries. There are some organizations such as the Salvation Army who are providing the needs of many people around the world. There are those who visit the sick in hospitals and the elderly. They provide funds for schools, hospitals, orphanages and medical supplies to places where the people have no help from their governments.
The work of God is getting done all around the world, but people are to busy to take an interest or even notice. They are too busy pointing out and criticizing a few with faults and placing all Christians in the same category. Some people just choose to look at the negative only, never seeing the good.

What you see as Christianity is not Christianity, if Christianity is following Christ and not just something people call their religion. The true body of which Jesus Christ is the head is very small, compared to the world, and mostly visible only to God. It's members are spread out all over the world and some never meet more than a few others. I don't mean that there are no churches, even some large, by small country town standards, whose members aren't all Christian but most are in small churches and home study groups, or isolated from other like-minded believers. They are not generally prominent in their communities, and if they are then they don't use Christianity as a means to get ahead. They live as Christ lived by caring for their neighbors and shining the light of truth in the lives of those around them.

When it comes to the Christians we most often see on television, they're usually doing a pretty bad job. The ones you don't see, I think they're actually doing a decent job. most people don't argue between denominations.

I would think that 80% are playing a game, 10% are truly seeking God and about 10% really get it.
