No- I power squat. Then I scrub the hands, grab a few paper towels and open the door with them. Or leave the restroom as if I were a surgeon with hands up. I figure the door handle is pretty gross too.
Guess that makes me a big time germ-o-phobic?

No, and I'm still alive - omigod!!!
However, I NEVER place a handbag on the floor of a restroom (and then on a countertop - yikes!). Research has shown that the germiest place in the restroom is not the seat, but the floor. And if my bare bottom hits the seat, its not going onto any place that I eat. This is not true of my pocketbook.
I don't think that bare bottoms on seats are gross or dangerous (and research about germs has shown this clearly to be true).
But I do find bags on restroom floors to be horrifying. And I am quite careful about this.
My phobias are research based - not squeamish based.

Yeah maximum situations I do. extraordinarily whilst there's a garbage can remarkable close to the door, that way i will merely open the door, carry it open like with my foot, then toss the paper towel interior the trash. a number of public loos now are commencing to no longer have cope with doorways so i do no longer could desire to apply paper towels too in many situations. YEA FOR GERMAPHOBES!

I surely do. I like those seat covers too. I use to carry them in my purse. I know there are many germs on the toilet seat and I don't want them.

Not only should you use toilet paper/seat covers but I think you should put Clorox Wipes in a ziplock bag and carry them in your purse. Just in case...

I do but it is not necessary to do it at all. The only reason i do it is the thought of my butt touching something that someone else's butt has touched freaks me out.
