I have never had a boyfriend before, but I had older men like me around the 18 years of age. How do I get one near my age of 14? I don't try to get a boyfriend because my friends have one, it's because I want to know what it feels like to be loved that's not in my family and is a boy. I'm really troubled. Please Help!!!

you have plenty of time for boys but you need to make your self avaible. and you kind of have to wait for them too. you have to read into their emotions and its not as easy as you think lol. but everyone has someone out there you just have to look and wait for them. and when you get rejected move on. there are plenty of fish in the sea. wait it out your time will come dont panic!!

Well hello and welcome to the land of young love and relationships. First let me say that you are like millions of kids reaching an age where you get interested in each other as more than friends. The thoughts can consume your day. At 14 you must have school--worry about that first---your future depends on it. Second--at 14 you can get in over your head because your not thinking with it---third, boys and girls will mature at different speeds and levels. Boys can really be jerks at 14 to 18 or 19--that's a fact. Your first boyfriend can ruin your life. You need to keep the young love interest in perspective. The word love is only a word until you find out the true definition of LOVE. It comes with time but includes 2 people who respect, care for, nurture, inspire,accept, and support each other. Both parties are mature, careful, pleasing, and courteous to each other---get the picture??? You need to start standing back and observing real nice guys who have an idea how to treat a young lady. Be a nice girl and dress nice, have nice hair, brush your teeth, walk and talk like a young lady---be someone that would be interesting to know. Sex has no place in the lkife of young teens---the boys brag and spread your name---not very nice. Have some self respect and wait for only the best young men to date---and don't get all hung up in a serious relationship---it gets smothering and stale. Relax, it will happen to you--like all the others--it will come. Have fun, be nice and lots of luck to ytou.

You need to learn to love yourself before you have someone else, like a boyfriend, love you. Having a boyfriend is not always what it's cracked up to be. At 14, you're not in a relationship for commitment, like you might be if you were 24. So, having a boyfriend just might be worse then being single. Enjoy being young, you have plenty of years to have boyfriends. Go out with friends, do well in school. Don't think about boys, until you are at least 16.
As you get older, you'll realize that the dating scene and having a boyfriend just for the sake of having one, is not easy.
