Always cover all leftovers with plastic wrap so that air does not get at the food. Oxygen causes food spoilage, plus the plastic wrap keeps the food from absorbing the odors of the refrigerator.

Hum. I would cover it. Might help keep out those smells you wouldn't want to have your jell-o smelling and tasting of like (Onion, Garlic, etc.).

In my personal opinion it is better to store it in a plastic covered container to keep it's taste and texture.

The best thing to do is, directly cover the surface with plastic wrap so it doesn't get " rubbery ".
