Here is my flickr account. I want to try and expand my skill and the best way I learn is getting tips on how to get better. Besides shot in RAW and edit the pictures, can you tell me what I could do better on some of my shots. Any critiques would be nice, family does not help much because they always say "Good Job!"

Ok for your photos here are some ideas.
1. LA - Its an excellent photo, perhaps a slight glow on it to make it look quite magical .. even leaving it as it is now its great.
2. MOUNTAIN - Its a very dull picture, but that is most likely the subject, try brightening the colour.
3. LA - Again brighten the colour so you can see the buildings, the background is to dark. Maybe glow could make it better.
4. NIGHT FLOWER - Again a great photo especially with the blur on the background, emphasizing the 2 flowers on the right is the best thing, glow would look great on this photo.
5. LENS FLARE. - unfortunately I don't find this photo interesting, its more a myspace pose shot (Sorry)
6. FADED FLOWERS - This is stunning .. leave it as it is.. Congratulations
7. BEACH SUNSET - Excellent photo, a touch of glow would brighten it a bit and project the sun more.
8. STAND OUT - I like what you have done with this and i was going to suggest it for one of your other flower pictures, Leave it as it is .. Good Work
9. DAY AFTER A STORM - Leave it as it is, its stunning, the water droplets look amazing.
10. ROAD RAGE - This is interesting, but not a great shot, I have no ideas for this photo (Sorry)
11. RED FLOWER - This is stunning, you do great with plants, leave it as it is or if you want more haze for the back use a slight glow. (Excellent)
12. TEA PARTY. - I unfortunately do not like this picture, its too dull and the flash of the camera does not do it any good. (Sorry)
13. PINK FLOWER - Looks better with B&W background.
14. SUNSET - This is good but its missing something in the photo, You always need something to make it interesting in a shadow shot, A bird flying overhead would top it off. Good job though.
15. WINDMILL IN SUNSET - This is great, leave it as it is, This is what I meant by having something to make it interesting.

Great Photos,

Hope it helped ..

What ever type of camera you choose the answer is usually the same. Fill the frame(photo), what out for back lighting, and flash burn.
There are may good books of the subject at your local library. See if your local high school has an adult education courses. Remember if the shot is good to begin with you won't have to do a lot of editing. Most of all enjoy.
