It is believed that God created Adam & Eve and gave them free will.

But don't Animals have free will as well? They are able to think and make decisions as well. They also do as they please.

Free Will is being able to make a Choice, make a Decision.

If my dog is in the Living Room and he Chooses to go into the Kitchen, that is Not instinct. That is Free Will.

Yes, and the snake allowed Satan to possess him and because of it he suffered the consequences too. Many times in the bible it speaks about the animals being cursed or blessed according to what was happening to the humans. If a man was blessed, his entire household was blessed including his livestock. The same went for the curses. When God made Adam He told Adam that he was basically in charge of the animals and even gave Adam the privilege of naming them. Adam had domain. When he sinned, everything in the earth was affected including the animals. I think mankind is responsible for the welfare of the animals as they are subject to the laws of God through man. That's just the way I understand it, although I have not studied the subject thoroughly.

Sure animals have free will as well. I question how many decisions they make each day. Animals also do not have to choose between right and wrong. There is no morality in the animal kingdom.

Also Animals do not have the capability to comprehend the exsistence of a God. So they are ignorant. We have the free will to Believe in him or to REJECT him.

yes Free Will ...? One of the major concepts of baseless
contrivance ever to come down the pike .. Sure all beings have some degree of choice even snakes which is why they use their tongues to distinguish left from right but a gift from Santa or god is insulting to the intellect of modern man .
why don't some people grow up and tell the truth about mythology and superstitious based religion and the deceit that they employ in there self interest to scam the followers who don't have the mental acuity to see through such simple minded hogwash ? you have free will take your hands off the steering wheel and let the fake god drive then you'll go to heaven NO! your go to hell on earth the hell that god did not create but the one that leaves people dead forever .
peace out

No, it's all instinct. My cat NEVER decides to glare at me. Nor does he ever decide to turn his back on me when I call him fat. Nor could he possibly choose when or whennot he shall eat.

That's rediculous (in response to an answer by a name I don't remember), humans act on instinct just as much as animals do. When a child is born they don't call it "god enlightening the mother" they call it a "mother's instinct" to care for her child. By that claim... humans are animals, therefore we will never get into heaven, if we'll never get into heaven why are you pandering off your religion like it matters?

Free Will?

Yes-THE GOD gave all mankind free will.

(By the rest of this question it is indicated that the poster of the question considers man as unique and not an animal!)

God gave animals some intelligence and being, but they are not created in the image of God. Animals are not accountable for sin - man is because man has been given free will and again, has been created in His image, which means we are responsible for our actions - animals are not. God gave them a certain amount of intelligence, but as I said, they are not created in God's image - only man and Christ didn't die for animals, but for the sins of man.

The story of Adam and Eve is nothing more than a creation story. Every culture on this planet has a creation STORY

The animals aren't under the law so don't have to pay the consequences of breaking the law. Nor are children under the law. Animals and children do have to pay the consequences of the fall and sin though. It affected them as well. It affected all of creation.

Genesis Chapter 1 verse 28-30 states that God gave man dominion over every fish in the sea, every fowl of the air, and every living thing that is on the earth. He also gave us every edible plant on Earth. He gave us every tree, and every fruit that grows on them.

animals dont have free will, they have instinct. whatever their instinct allows or cautions, they act on that. They don't make any decisions other than those to keep them safe and alive, but humans want pleasure and act on desires.
