you need to speak to the law enforcement in that area. all rape is criminal and statutes may change from time to time.

looks like 10 years if commited after july of 2001
and 1 year after the identy of offender is concusivly discovered by DNA what ever is later hope this helps

oh if it was commited before july of 2001 its 5 years

2001 KS S.B. 303 – amends §21-3106 – a
prosecution for a sexually violent offens
where the limitations period has not expired
as of July 1, 2001, or the offense was
committed on or after July 1, 2001, shall be
ten years from the commission of the
offense, or one year from the date on which
the identity of the suspect is conclusively
established by DNA testing, whichever is
later. Biological evidence for an offense
committed before Jan. 1, 2001 must be
analyzed no later than Jan. 1, 2004 and for an
offense committed on or after Jan. 1, 2001,biological evidence collected in connection with the offense s analyzed for DNA type
no later than two years from the date of the offense.

Murder, Rape and Safe Cracking have no statute of limitations. Charges can be filed at any time regardless when the crime took place.

There is no statute of limitations on rape. If there is enough evidence to indict even after 100 years you can still be indicted.
