She's a year old and just came out of heat. And yes, she has an appointment to be spayed next week. Plz don't lecture me about that. She also got on top of the fridge, got a magnet and chewed it up. Unlike her. The litterbox is clean, but I just changed it last night (opened a new box of litter, but same brand). I keep my house pretty cool (she's strictly indooor)--is there something I can do to make her feel better and stop ruining my carpet??? Help !

Neither is a good sign. She needs to see a vet now.

First off if she isn't using the litter box, then she is telling you that she is sick, thats there why of telling you that..MY cat was 20 years when she passed on and at the end that is what she did to tell my it was time for her to go,,Dam near killed me that day cuz was healthy till the end , just that her kidney went and nothing the vets could do to help her, so had to say good-bye,,was really sad for me,but had 20 years of enjoyment with my tabby named fred,,yes she was a female..also for the carpet stains I swear by OXY CLEAN,,but a little in a spray bottle and wash the stains away,, this stuff works great on pet stains and any other stains you might have, and a container last a long time when converted to spray bottles,,good luck and hope you have your kitty as long as I had mine..

Hi there...it isn't common for a cat who was in heat to inappropriately urinate (urine spray) to mark territory and spaying is the only way to resolve this. However, the vomiting indicates something more critical and merits an URGENT trip to the veterinary hospital rather than waiting until next week.

Lower urinary tract disorders also can contribute to the inappropriate urinating as well. If a cat has a urethral blockage this can become life-threatening within 24-48 hours if not treated, which can also contribute to vomiting because the toxins is building up in her system since they are not able to be passed.

Has anything changed in the house? We went on our honeymoon and had friends watch our cat, well when we got home she started peeing everywhere. My vet said she was stressed from being away from us. Cats are very finicky.

Sounds like you need to get her in b/4 next week. It may have something to do w/ her just coming out of her 1st heat but I doubt it. It sounds like she may have a urinary tract infection, kidney infection, kidney stones, or the like.
