Wipe up spills immediately with a dry cloth. This may dull the area, so buffing may be required.
To remove white spots caused by water spills, use a fine steel wool and a small amount of mineral sprits. Rub gently in a circular motion until the spot is gone, then rewax the area and rebuff.
When the floor loses luster in heavy traffic areas, buff to a satin shine. When the buffer does not produce a shine, rewax only the dull areas. Note that too much wax causes the floor to scuff easily.
Small electric floor buffers can be purchased at your local janitorial supply store. Buffing improves the life and shine of the wax floor, by removing the top layer of built up dirt

I usually use one of those floor Swiffer's , that really picks up more than a broom does, then I use the wet swiffers whenever there is a little dirt on the floor-I do the whole floor not just the dirty spots, and then every month I scrub it really, really good and then I use a Floor Cleaner/Wax called "Brite" I love it & get lots of compliments on my floor!

Stay off of it. Put vinyl runners down the middle of the gloor like your Aunt Phyllis used to do. You should put the vinyl slipcovers on the sofa and on the lampshades too, for that ultra coordinated look.
