Joining Navy as an AD in March, want to know what other Ad's in the Navy like better Heli, Jet, Props?

Also heard once you get out you still have to pass the FAA test to work on planes, is this a job that transfers to a job in the civilian world easily? Also whats the first year like as an apprentice?, joining anyways just want to be prepared. Thank You
