Birds keep trying to drink out of the pool in my back yard, but they all keep drowning in the process. Now I am a lover of animal death, and I hunt often, but when they just die like that, it takes the sport right out of it. Is there anyway I can fashion my pool into some kind of trap that won't hurt the birds, or at least set it up to where the birds have some kind of advantage in my hunt? Constructive comments only please.

have you tried to breed a rat and a bird together. Rats are the smartest animal north of the equator.

I also have a pool in my backyard and have never had a bird end up in it. Have you thought about putting in a bird bath, that might keep the birds from being tempted to go for a swim.

Anyhow, I would try a birdfeeder and birdbath in your backyard as far away from the pool as possible - lure them away from the promised land with honey and then cap their asses,

cover your pool moron!! not really a sporting event!!! love the plastic snake idea though!! float 'em in the pool not just around it... go deer hunting or something else... most backyard birds are to domesticated to be any kinda fun.. it would be to easy and very cruel cuz i know you are not gonna eat them....good luck!!!

Plastic snakes. They're scared of them. Also, plastic owls that you can buy at the garden center at Wal-Mart. Put them all around your pool.
When your pool is cleaned out, invite me.

Build a big net around the pool so they get stuck, then blast them with a baseball bat, lol.
