Is it a new Lower Denture? If so.. go back to your dentist so the Assistants can adjust it. It shouldnt cost anything, if its new.

If its an older Denture... 2 things, AGAIN go to your dentist and have them adjusted. Also ask about a 'Soft Reline'... A soft reline is a procedure we do, in which we place a soft gel type material inside the denture, its hardens up but remains soft. It stops the pain from a rubbing/slidding denture. Relines.. will cost you extra though.

Hope this helps...

essentially, you should have no pain or irritation from your dentures. your dentist needs to re-adjust them, he'll just take a little "buffer" and give the denture a quick zap in the needed spots. or, you can try thoes little pads that you heat up, and stick on the denture. this is only temporary, but less expensive than going back and forth to the dentist. untill then, try some anbesol or orajel on your gums.

my mom had problems with her bottoms, but now she uses these little pads called EZO..she cuts them to size and heats them up under the hot water and places them in her bottoms..she says they work great..she found them at Raleys, Walmart, Longs Drugs..perhaps you could try them, maybe they will give you a better fit and feeling..good luck..
