I can 'save' myself, thank you very much. I believe that if there is an afterlife, and that those who have lived good lives will go on to experience greater fulfillment, pleasure, and challenge. And if there isn't, at least I have lived a good life. So I have nothing to worry about.

The precise nature of the afterlife - what it will look like and feel like - is beyond our understanding anyways.

First of all, I've been ready for the Lord to take me home, whenever He says it's time to return. Secondly, NO ONE can save themselves in the end? Why would anyone wait until the end of time to be saved by Christ? Only Christ can save; we cannot save ourselves!

Not yet, but after a fun and fulfilling life, I would like to think there is an afterlife where you're surrounded by your loved ones and are going to be 'happy' for eternity.
It is a nice thought, i'd like to think it is true, whether you are religious or not. I believe, as long as you are a good person at heart, you deserve everlasting happiness and fulfillment.

The road we will take in the "end" has already been chosen by God. We can only try to follow the good path in hope that if there is something good afterwards, we will have a place there. Who knows what we are to expect? Perhaps that is the wonder of it all.
