I have naturally straight brown hair. I love it, but never wear it down. Always in a pony tail. This is because it wil be brushed out, and then like 30 minutes later, it looks messy. I don't move my head a lot, so that's not a problem. Any of you have similar problems? What have you done to keep it nice and brushed out? Thanks for the tips.

You probably need to use a hair product that will hold your hair in place. Even though you wear your hair straight, it still needs something to hold in place. I would suggest that you use a good shampoo and conditioner and then try a mousse or spray in gel that will keep the frizzies down and help hold your hair in place. Bed Head makes good hair products, as well as Matrix, Nexxus, etc. Some of the better products can only be purchased at a hair salon. Also, make sure that you keep your hair trimmed so that you don't have frizzy ends.

Most probably the reason for that is that your hair is losing moisture as it gets exposed to air. Although I am a guy, I have the same problem. If I just brush or comb my hair in place a few minutes later it is all over the place.

The best way I keep my hair looking neat and in place is to use an hair cream. Find a good brand that suites your hair type. Take a small dab of the cream (don't use too much or your hair will become greasy) rub it between your palms and smooth it all over your hair. Then style your hair as you usually do and it should stay in place.

Good Luck!

I have no i dea what it is like to have hair like that but i will give you some thoughts about it. Make sure you wash your hair with shampoo AND conditioner then when your done you can try using a detangler and use a comb or a pick to brush it out while it is wet. I'm thinking that you could try to use something like moose while its wet to get it to stay but don't use anything like "extra hold" because it will make your hair stiff. Some good hair styles for your hair would be to put it up in a clip, a bun, a braid or braids, i think that a french braid is cute, you could also pull up your top hair i think its called a half ponytail or pull your bangs back.

Get a permanent, and then blow it almost dry, finally set it with heated large or medium curlers. Use large if you want straight hair and the smaller ones if you want curls. No hairspray is necessary.
