Heaven. Hell. Life after Death. Reincarnation. Nothing. No one really knows what happens when you die. All of the theories that are out there are really just peoples way of dealing with the unknown. Because there is no way to really know what happens. And it's understandable to wonder about death and it's normal to be scared. I think that there is a life after this one, what that life is, I don't know. I think that it's different for everyone because everyone is different. I believe that everyone has a spirit, a soul, a lifeforce, that is forever. That never ends and just goes on. I may not know how many places, or planes, or dimensions (whatever you want to call them) that exist or if they are good or bad; but I know that there's not nothing.
We can't just stop existing just because we're not in our bodies anymore. People get that confused. They see a dead body and see that it's not doing anything and that it's not that same and they think it's all over, the body is lifeless. But just because the body is lifeless doesn't mean that the life that was inside is gone forever. It lives on. It goes on.
Take my advice, don't worry about death so much, just live this life first and then worry about the next one when it comes.
One Life At A Time.
Cause this life is a short one.
You don't want to end this life with unfinished business.
Hope I was helpful, good luck with your search. Peace.

Scripture is real clear. Death is like sleep. You cease to feel and think. You rest in the grave until after the judgment, when you will be raised either in the resurrection of the righteous, to be throughout eternity with the Almighty. Or with the lost. If that is the case, you acknowledge the righteousness of the Almighty, but then your heart rises up again in rebellion against Him, and you die finally in the fire that comes from Him to purify the earth so He can make all things new, and VERY GOOD.

Well in a way you do choose heaven or hell. But the choice is made on this earth, and that is if you repent of your sins, and accept Jesus as your savior.

When it comes to your other questions, I don't know. I can only tell you what the bible says. It does say that we will no longer have any pain or sorrow, nor will the "former things" be remembered. I would think, yes you do know when you have passed from this life to the next. Most telling would be where you find yourself; with the Lord.....or in outer darkness.

You're asking living people what happens when you die. None of us know. I believe your awareness, no longer confined to your body, is once again free to be aware of everything in the Universe until you choose to take on a physical form again. You won't be who you are now, as this life will just be one of many you remember having lived. You'll see people crying for you, because you'll see everything, but you'll also see how insignificant it is in the grandness of the Universe (we take human form so we can experience things like this - they're pretty meaningless to the unincarnate).

That's my belief, for now, at least. Ask me next week, and I may have come up with something different.

Yes you will know when you die. You will face the God that created you. I don't know if you will see people cry for you but the bible says that one day every eye will see Christ. I don't know if "every eye" will see everyone else though. The bible is unclear in this. I think we will be busy about life in heaven. We will no longer sin and will be about the business God gives us to do in heaven. We won't just sit around on a cloud with a harp. We will have a purpose to serve and with perfect minds and creativity, clear and unconfused, we can do all the things we ever wanted to do in heaven like we never could down here. You like art but could never really paint. You will be able to in heaven. You like to sing but can't carry a tune (like me) ...you will sing with a beautiful voice in heaven. Christians will "rule and reign" in heaven. Whatever that means, it has something to do with having positions of authority and implies judging and making important decisions. You are unique down here and special to God. How much more wonderful will your relationship be with a God you can look upon and talk with. If you read the book of revelations..the last chapter I believe....it describes a huge city...the size of the United States, with gold and jewels and pearls. It has gates and a river and trees that give different fruits each month . The leaves of this tree will be for the healing of the nations. There will be no sickness or dissappointments. There will be no evangelists or missions. There will be no traffic tickets or broken hearts. You won't have to wonder what God wants from you. You will know. There will be no shame or guilt. Just peace and purpose. There will also be great joy and love. We will see the angels we heard so much about and we will see loved ones in heaven. There will be no split ends or tatoos. There will be food. We will eat at a great feast called the "Marraige Supper of the Lamb". We will not only be able to meet Jesus but also Mary and Abraham and Jonah and Joseph and David. We will even meet Adam and Eve. We will wear white robes, of the purest white and crowns of gold on our heads. We will be rewarded for the good things we have done for God. I hope this helps your understanding. If you do not know Christ, I encourage you to pray to God that He come into your life and show you who He is. He did for me. All this and more will happen when we get to heaven. We will live forever.

When you die you go to either paradise or spirit prison (depending of if you die in your sins) Assuming you are half way decent and you die, you go to paradise. Do you know where paradise is? It is right here. It's not like they are standing around watching you pee or anything. You are taught the gospel of Jesus Christ (if you weren't taught here on earth) God loves all his children. He doesn't love me better because I go to church and learned of Him. If you had 6 kids and one of them got lost, would you say, that's ok I have 5 left? No, you would love ALL your children. That's the same way God feels about us. He loves us all, even the ones that are being jerks. He my not like what they do, but he loves all his children. He has a plan to get us back to him. After paradise you are given a body and are judged according to your works and you either go to the Celestrial, Telestrial or Terrestrial kingdom. (See 1st Cor I think) That is where you spend eternity. So it is true, you reap what you sow. That is why we need to do the best we can while we are here on probation. What we do here, determines where we end up later. Keep searching. God puts people in your way when He knows you are really searching.

First, you might want to invest in spell check. I don't think people out rightly chose to go to Heaven or hell. Knowing that hell is a place of shame, hardship, pain, agony, etc. etc. who would choose to go there? Who wants to live a life like that. We have enough problems now, wanting to go to a place even worse makes no sense. A person goes to Heaven by the grace of God. Believing in God and faith that Jesus takes away our sins. It's up to us to accept what God offers and live according to it. In Heaven or in hell, a person doesn't simply repeat the life they have already lived. All things are new. Just like you will never actually relive yesterday, you won't relive your present life after death. When a person dies their spirit leaves them. They are no longer conscious of what is taking place on earth. Some people choose to be cremated. Some countries don't allow burial and demand cremation. What would it be like to feel the effects of cremation?
