There is nothing wrong with belief in God being fueled by fear and guilt.
The only problem is when belief in God is ONLY fueled by fear and guilt.
The truth is I believe there are a lot of "good people' on this Earth. So why must they believe in God?
Well the problem is good is not good Enough. The problem with oru limited perception is because we underestimate simlutaneously the Holiness of God, and the Sinfulness of our actions.

You're argument doesn't make sense. You say that most of these people's belief is fueled by fear and guilt, yet several people affirmed the idea of grace. By the same token, you say that no one seems to value being good. So, either people believe they should be good to get into heaven and thus value being good, or they believe we are saved by grace, which should get rid of guilt and fear.

The 'church' preaches early on that everyone is a sinner and not worthy of God-if 'He' weren't so damn loving, 'He' wouldn't have sent His son to be tortured and killed for us. Love, really? So, that's what Hell is about?
Gee-you'd never guess the New Testament was written by a bunch of guys growing up in Roman occupied territory...

Death is the only great adventure. No one alive knows what to expect. God could have created all these things in our world to swade us so that belief may take over instead of fact.

some poeple do believe in God bacause of fear and guilt, but why Shouldnt u fear God? Hes bigger than u, has more powerful than u, everyone should be afraid of God. And those who say that they dont fear God actually Fear God the Most. I balieve in god not because of fear, but because I trust him, and know where I stand in Gods council.

Not necessarily their belief in God, but definitely their choice of religion.
Christianity's message is basically "You suck and should be destroyed. You need us so you can be loved." It's the same tactic used to sell cosmetics and diet pills. If God was real, He would sue them all for slander.
