What can I do if I get so many text messages from unknow people and even calls on my cellphone? it is very annoying.
Could it be my number was used before by another person, or belonged to someone else before me?

Perhaps could be the main reason.
You have to ask your provider if your number is new or reused.
If its reused, i think you should better change for a new number instead.

Call up your service provider and have them block those numbers, or disable text messaging like I did.

I had that problem and called the person. They were embarressed cause they thought they were talking to their friend and stopped after that.
