Approximately 3 weeks old. It will be ready to learn to eat on its own any day, and will be ready to learn to fly in another 2. Feed it wild bird seed mix, or anything similar. Pigeons can and will eat a variety of foods, including bread and cooked vegetables. Good luck.

We have mothered a couple of them. It is funny you are anxious to see them fly away and when they do you feel a loss; or maybe envy. A baby has a soft beak and his feathers are down. Birds stores have a feed for babies they can't break seed. Oatmeal is ok. When they take wings and fly then they are young but mature. Have fun and good luck
