Let's say that this parasitic twin does not actually harm the other normal twin. That it would be very easy for them to co-exist and you wouldn't have to kill the parasitic twin even though it's brain dead. Now you could either chop the extra head off and the normal twin would have a happy, fulfilling life or you could leave it on and the twins will have to be shut-ins for the rest of their lives. What would you choose?

(Keep in mind that the parasitic twin IS human life by every definition of the Bible. "It is still sacred." More so than a fetus.)

Doctors have to make ethical as well as life-and-death decisions on things like this every day. This is why we pray for them. With a second head slowly poisoning the normal head, they make their decisions and they do what they can.

This "parasitic" twin was not brain dead. She was alive. That is one mistake you made in your question. Second...the second twin, named Islam a boys name but the mother named the twin that after they were separated and the second twin was dead.(She said she wanted to be reminded of what God had done for them. That is why she was named that.) It was choose one twin or no twins. That was their choice and I pray to God that I am not faced with such a choice. I would never want to have to go through that, but I would do as they did....save one twin rather than let both die.

IF the second twin had been brain dead, I would have them separated. Parasitic twins aren't always formed that way. Some are tumors within the twin. Some are extra appendages. In those cases there is no brain and therefore no soul and it is merely removing those parts to make life easier for that person. Manar and her twin Islam both had separate brains and both were unique souls. Islam could cry and suck a pacifier. She would be awake when Manar was asleep. AND she was dying. The heart of Manar was pumping for them both and not enough blood was getting to either of them and Manar had heart failure twice. They were separated when the second twin began to get sick and die. If she were left attached and died, the toxins created would have poisoned and killed Manar.

I would chop off it's head. If it is brain dead then there is no real threat as a Christian. It would be considered and organ like any other part of my body. If I have gall bladder disease and remove it ... it is not human life and therefore not meeting the definition in the bible. The same applies with the head that is brain dead... it is just an appendage.

I am not a Christian.

I'd just perform the cut. The surviving twin will have a happy, fulfilling life as you stated. The dead twin would have wished that the sibling will be happy too.

I am sure most Christians agree too.

you're refering to siamse twins. a parasitic twin is absorbed by the other twin in womb, and rarely makes to full term.
i would wand my child to live life as comfertably as possible. I could never kill one of my kids because they are different. I would accept the child/ children however the're born!

I would pray for guidance and get all the medical advise I could. I am still against abortion. Have people not heard of birth control? And don't tell me rape. Abortion has been used by married women as a means of birth control.
