The camera is not as important as your ability to deal with problems in an appropriate way. If you just hide stuff like that from your parents, they either won't trust you or they'll think you are immature and not ready for more freedom and responsibility. It's easy to dispose of your problems this way, but you won't earn their respect. Why don't you just tell them the truth? You could also tell them you'll pay for the repair costs.

I'm guessing you want to hide it because they gave it to you, right?

Don't hide it. They might eventually ask about it, then you will be tempted to lie. Don't do it. You'll damage their trust in you.

I know it's hard, but tell them the truth. If it can be fixed, great!! If not, apologize for breaking it. After all, I'm sure you didn't really mean to. They might be disappointed in you (depending on your age) but they will still respect and trust you because of your honesty and your sorrow and embarrassment for being so foolish.

Except for the answer before mine, everyone is an excellent reply; Just tell the truth!

Sorry bud, no way to hide it. Everything is automatied and makes it impossible for you to "hide" it being broken. Confess and tell them your really sorry, thats the only thing you can do.

i told my mom. she blamed it on my friends. cuz they had it for a day. when it was my fault. i never blamed it on them. but she was just all like `Michelle! WTF Did You Do To The Camera?!?!?! then im like...uuhhhmmm...then shes like did you let your friends borrow it? then im like yea. then shes like you shouldnt have done that. they broke your camera. and im like uhhh...but it wasnt thier fault. then shes like then whos fault is it? and so i still have the camera. it barely works. i kept hitting it on my knee trying to get it to turn on again. and it worked. but the veiw screen is all blurry. so just dont try to hide it from them. they`ll somehow understand. heck i just told my mom how my last fone died. it fell in a public toilet. and she aint mad at me. a little dissapointed that i didnt tell her earlier. so come clean.

but if you really dont wanna...then save enough money from lunch and by the end of the onth you mite have enuf to get a new one. and for the time in between just say that you misplaced it somewhere in your room and yoll find it later. then when you get the new one just show it to them. hope this helps you.♥

Yeah, fess up and tell them , honesty is better than deception, Deception is just a clever word for lie. Once deception is used, all trust.,honesty and love are forever damaged.

Be honest and tell them, make sure they see how upset you are about it, and I'm sure things will work out.
