Does anyone have any info on this Air Force career? Would that be a good way to become a fire fighter after being in the service? How likely would it be for a fire protection apprentice to be deployed? Any info on this career would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If you enter the fire department in the USAF you will be classified as 571xx. You will have either tech school or CDC classes to reach 57130. Most likely you will not be sent anywhere where there is fighting. Once you make your 57150 you can be sent almost anywhere. The next level is 57170 and then you will be able to obtain E-5 or higher.
Once you get out of the USAF you can apply at the base you are stationed at to get on the fire department there or your local city.
This is what I did when I got out of the USAF. Former E-5.

i became going to place this interest on my record till at last i've got been given as much as meps and took the actual. My ingenious and prescient became too undesirable for me to pass in. From what i figured is they do require greater powerful actual standards, like ingenious and prescient, then a large style of different jobs. purely a caution in case you place on glasses/contacts.
