The swelling should only be inside your lip around the hole...Anything else is a sign of infection and needs to been seen by a doctor Most of the time antibiotics is needed!!

The swelling is generally present near the site of the piercing, often where the piercing is and around that area.

i cant really remember where the swelling in mine was, but im pretty sure it was in the inside. and it hurt :( but eating popcicles, ice cubes and anything cold, helps with the swelling and pain.
