What's wrong with their beliefs?

Have you seen those Somalian kids, it's obvious that they're just starving for Christ. I personally find it ironic that many of the poorest countries in the world are the most religious, either totally muslim or totally christian. I will give the Christians credit however, many Christian organizations donate alot of time and money to alleviate poverty in many countries, and it's alot better than the colonialism they used to do to spread their religion.

Jesus commands us to go into all the world, even the third world countries, you are likely to find missionaries in every country.

I would say that the cause to go to the third world would be compassion, many missionaries provide spiritual needs as well as physical (food, medical).

I went to Kenya, not to make Christians but to teach the Christians that were there already, which they claim is 80% of their population.

It's not just poor third world countries that need Jesus, it's everybody. I preach because I feel called to help bring others to Christ so that they might have a better life.

Hmmm - - - BECAUSE they're poor Third World countries?

If Christian missionaries can get them to change their way of thinking, then those people can grow in intellect, gaining knowledge and skill to improve their environment, their society, and their nation.

Christianity is all about being your brother's keeper.

With all those atheist organizations out there providing food, shelter, and economic development in the third world, maybe not. I mean, those atheists are crawling all over each other to help. Just wild.

PS - Many third world countries are Christian. I have been to Africa with Habitat for Humanity. How about you?

Because countries that honour Christ live under His protection. Look around at countries that practise Voodoo and whatever else. Half the people are sick and starving. Countries that honour Him live well. Enjoy this while you can, because the way our countries are going we may end up like 3rd world countries.

We not only think Poor Third-World Countries Need Christianity, we think everyone needs Christianity...so they won't go to Hell when they die.

because they think that everyone has to be just like them... they think that if its a third world country that they may be less educated then them and hopefully they can sucker them into believing everything they believe because they know nothing else! christians aren't happy with you unless you're a christian too!!! that is why i'm not well liked!!! and that's okay with me :oD

Everyone needs Christ...not christianity. Everyone needs a Savior.

Who cares? At least they show up with aid to help those countries. Maybe they give them bibles, but they bring them clothing and supplies as well... It's not like they are showing up with guns and weapons.

SO... it isn't entirely a bad thing is it?
