If a 3rd World War was to erupt what would the U.N. do?

Well, first off, if one country in the U.N is involved in a war, it can pretty much be considered a world war. The reason being that all of the countries form alliances and the other countries have needs in that country (imports,exports etc.. ) But the main factor nowadays is OIL! Everyone wants it and well we need it for the time being, there may be a lot less warring when all the fossil fuels get used up.

UN is just to justify brutalities of the powerful countries, especially America's.

If American decide to attack Iran, the nightmare is not very far away.

Already American have harmed the world of Islam a lot, and if the Europeans make the mistake to united with America what they did in some other parts of the world, the disaster would be coming soon to them too.

What is the rule of UN, the United Nations Security Council decided to impose some sanctions on Iran and for that purpose the UNSC passed a resolution and the sanctions were imposed, but what is happening now, Americans have decided to multiply the death toll of the troops in Iraq.

Already 3060 American soldiers have died in Iraq and some 400 in Afghanistan, in such countries where there was not a real government, but to start attack on Iran, Americans should expect thousands of Americans casualties.

If the UN is really not in the hands of Americans, why the problem of Palestine is not reaching a solution?

If the UN is not in the hand of America why then so many people are dieing in Sudan?

What was the rule of UN in Chechnya, how many thousands of people lost their lives?

Why the UN allowed US to provide cluster bombs to Israel for dropping on women and children in Lebanon?

Why so many other countries have the right to have Nuclear weapons and Iran is not allowed to have Nuclear energy?

And many other issues......................

China fired one of its old satellite. United States has filling space weapon. North Korea tested Nuclear weapon successfully. India wants peace even after many militants attack from Pakistan. United States started fighting against terror. In this situation if a world war blow out, united nation do nothing other than supporting to United states and Europe. Asia is now under crises.

UN can do nothing. Some nation may try bring an motion against one of the nations involved in the war, as an aggressor. Its ally in the Security council will veto it.

Nothing. What has the UN done to divert any war? Pass a resolution! The third world war has most likely already started and the UN will do nothing - except hold meetings and pass resolutions.

UN memebers will take some time to bargain their share and after a few millions here and there, they will endorse US and it's allies and all the UN members will go underground.
