i like bangkok, & i love thailand- the culture, the people, the food & their local folklore :) i like thai songs too. everytime i go to bkk, i'll get the latest cds from bird thongcai, beau, mos, loso, etc (altho' imy thai is so lousy).

I live in Bangkok and am continually amazed by it and the people who live here. Thais are incredibly accommodating and forgiving of foreigners and will accept you for what you are (normally).
Bangkok has a sex industry, but which country and large city doesn't? The difference here is that it is not generally hidden, that is because Thais have not been subjected to the moralising, double-standard hipocracy of Christianity or Islam.
Ignore it and it will go away. Seek it out and you will find it. It's up to you - as they say in Thailand.

Bangkok is nice but too crowded for me. I prefer to head out of Bangkok to escape the crowds.

There's a ton of history and culture in bangkok if you go to all of the temples and what not, but beware there are a ton of prostitutes and anything dealing with sex.

It should be a wonderful place. Filled with culture and something new! I dont know about living there, but world travel is always nice.

i think is some froma sci fi novel. fantastic, unreal, crasy, corruption, evil bizzare and hopeless. us had a idea that was wrong time to go. shoudl have left the dictaotor sammad alone. he was a jerk and unlike to be a bigtime threat. pik your fight more carefully. cost us too damn much money aobbe all else. now we have something like another vietnam exit. bad news. tha will last for years.

It's beautiful and all, but you have to watch out for sexual predators. It's very notorious there, they have lots of sex trade there, and that's not a good thing. But overall it's a great city, and you really got to see it.

Yes. Loves the food and snack, everything is cheap. Should try shark fin restaurant and local hawker food.

I love it. The food was nice, the people was great and love the living standard there. i will migrate there when i'm old.
