Yes. But I do not believe that the soul is a single entity divorced from the human body. The soul is composed of many parts, each with a different function, and intimately tied to the mortal body during life.

Yes he does.
I don't believe in a soul, but I know it exists. Your "soul" is, essentially, your programming (if you will), your personality and character. Now, what the above is really trying to say is that he doesn't believe that these things of him (her?) are eternal. But that wasn't your question. The "soul" is the you, which the Bible says continues to exist even after the body it inhabits dies.
The "spirit" is the soul's ability to communicate with God. Adam and Eve each had a "living spirit," which died when they disobeyed God. This is what Jesus meant by "You must be born again" (John 3:3). Your spirit must be reborn to be able to talk to God (John 4:24), and without that, the soul goes nowhere.
Just to clear that up.

It is inconceivable to me that anyone could not believe in a soul. A soul is what makes us different from the animals. Don't you feel that there is more to you than just your body and your will to live? That part of yourself that reaches out to humanity and touches others and feels others pain? I can't really explain it...it's more of a feeling, a sense of self that extends beyond your body. I can't conceive that I don't have a soul. No matter how good your argument.

The soul. Its hard to define. I do believe everyone has as soul. Its one of the few commonalities that we as a human race has. The soul is where life springs forth. The soul is what is eternal in each one of us. The Soul is that which connects us with Our Creator.

A soul as in some mystic idea of conscienceness/being somehow attached to my physical being? No. My soul, or who I am, is this consciousness formed by the complex reactions going on in my brain... which is little understood, and capable of fantastic reasoning and intellect, as most healthy humans are.

Yes, I believe that people have souls - maybe animals too. As to exactly what it is - I'm not sure, to be honest, but I know that (at least as far as I can tell) I'm not just an organic computer with intelligence.

T'aint one, Typhon.
It's a figment of imagination, born out of the fear of dying like a skunk struck by a Ryder Rental Truck on the great highway of life.
We have more in common with the skunk than we want to imagine. Personally, I now find that idea comforting, but it takes some getting used to.
