I've heard that fogging also kills "friendly" insects like butterfiles, moths and dragonflies (which actually eat mosquito larvae). Is this true?

Any type of poison is just that-a poison. You could spend the rest of your life dumping chemicals but the mosquito population wont feel a dent. Mosquitos are weak fliers and dont venture far from a body of water...emptying all standing bodies of water (like in a bucket, a tire, a kids toy truck, a pot, etc.) can really help show them whose boss. If you want a birdbath or pond, make sure the water circulates by a pump so that its not stagnant.

are you talking about like the foggers that come in a can that you can by like at a home depot? because those usaully kill most bugs, and it is not safe to breathe it in.
