Well biting your nails is a bad habit that you can break. Dating the wrong men isn't a bad habit. That's more of a matter of making bad choices.

For biting the nails: Try substitution. Buy a big bag of pretzels, & nibble on them the same way you nibble on your nails. In a few days you will have lost the nail biting habit. Or, set up a jar & make yourself the rule that you have to put a dollar in the jar every time you catch yourself biting the nails.
Soon you'll stop

For dating wrong men:
Start looking at the men that you would normally reject as potential dates. Try saying yes to one of them when he asks you out. Your criteria for deciding which men to date may be flawed. It could be that you are gravitating to the familiar because you feel safe with Mr Wrong because at least you can predict what will happen with him even if it turns out to be bad.
Dating Mr Right might be unfamiliar to you, so fearing the unknown you stay clear. If you want to change your pattern then you have to get brave, & try the unfamiliar enough so that it too becomes the familiar.

Hope that helps.

There is two ways that always helped me with biting my nails. One way is getting false nails. The other is by putting this liquid stuff one the nail and the tip of the fingers. It is to stop nail biting and thumb sucking. And about dating the wrong men, that is a bad habit to break. It took me 7 years to break that habit. I have the nicest, sweetest man right now. What I did was stop looking for the bad guy types and look for the ones who are always listening to you. Like a close friend who has been there for you and knows what you like and don't like. That's what I did. I hope things turn out Ok for you about both the nail biting and the men.

For biting of fingernails this is a mind thing just a habit. Everytime your finger goes toward your mouth think about what you are doing then stop. As for the wrong men you have to change your outlook on them what you have been looking for search for the opposite go to different places to find the man you are looking for if you go to a bar you pretty well know what you are getting try better places like a book store, church, coffee shop. Good luck!!!

Well they're two related habits. Both times you're putting something dirty in your mouth. HAHA. But okay, in all seriousness it's hard to answer unless you mention why they're the wrong men. Are they married? In that case just avoid men with rings. Do they treat you bad? In that case maybe you need to be on the lookout for signals you've been missing, like small forms of initial disrespect. Maybe more specifics in the question would help with more specifics in the answer.

Take time each day to visualize what would replace these bad habits if you did choose to stop them. Beautiful hands, healthy relationships. Habit is just that it's built up so daily visualization can be the first step in making healthy choices a new habit.

Get some of that bitter apple or whatever that stuff is that you put on your fingernails to stop biting them. Then do the same thing to the men.

soak your nails in Tabasco or something else nasty in case you like that. Dating the wrong men? Go for a nerd, they don't sleep around.
