Point Loma High School isn't very far from MCRD San Diego. 1 to 2 miles maybe. Easy to get to by city transit.

I guess the more important detail is...are you sure you'll be able to live "on base" with your husband? I'm not sure what MCT is but I'm guessing it's some kind of training or school he's going to. I'm also assuming that he's done with basic training. To get "on base" housing is not easy and for a young Marine who has to wait in line behind more senior Marines. You're not going to be able to live in his barracks with him. Off base housing is attainable but I doubt you two will be able to afford that with his measly salary and you going to school.

You only have 5 more months to graduate, just stay where you are and it will be a lot easier. Or probably the opposite. Omg, I feel bad for you because it's going to be tough trying to pay for your apartment (which has to happen probably as soon as he's done with MCT). I don't know how it works with married guys @ MCT, cause we got married like 6 months after, but they'll probably let him stay in the barracks for it, but as soon as he requests BAH, he'll have to move out in town. Where is he getting stationed after MCT? If he's staying in Camp Pendleton, you could mover there soon, but if he's going to go somewhere else, I would wait. Also, you'll probably have to wait a year or more to get a house on base... if you even want to live there. My husband is an NCO and it's going to take us 8 months. If you do live out there, look for aparments in Fallbrook, they're A LOT cheaper than Oceanside. Like almost 300$ cheaper.
If you have any questions email me! I don't have anything better to do and I'd love to help. Also since you're a wife (yay and congrats) there's this website for military wives that you can find out almost anything to do with bases or just the lifestyle in general.... http://forum.cinchouse.com/eve

Good luck.

Honestly, I'd stay where you're at and finish school there, once you're finished come out to San Diego to be close to him.
