I don't worry because I believe in God. Being a good person doesn't get you into heaven. Having Christ Jesus does.

Though you may be a good person, you could be a saint, if you have not asked God to come live in your life you will go to hell! I am being blunt because I am worried about you, God is ready to accept another child into his kingdom, and he needs you! God's body is like a puzzle, without all the pieces the picture doesn't make any sense. The great commision (Matt. 28:19-21) Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. You need to be part of God's big puzzle, so you can help Him reach the other pieces of the puzzle. John 14:6, says, NO ONE comes to the Father except through me, meaning, those who don't except the gift of the Son, Jesus Christ, cannot become God's son/daughter of him. There is a verse in the Bible that says, "God did not send his Son into the world, to condemn the world, but to save it." God sent his son as a gift for all people, to come and follow him! God is the Alpha & the Omega, meaning he is the beginning and the end. He is the ultimate point to life. Don't put it off, accept him as your savior now, God doesn't promise you tommorow, he only promises the present. Every breathe is a gift from Gods hands, especially crafted for you! Please, become a disciple of Christ! Join God's heavenly army!

You're right, if you believe you can get to heaven on your own, no need to worry. Never mind what the Bible says about who you really are, it's all good. Built-in sin nature, the fires of hell, nah, innocent until proven guilty.

Me, I'm totally depraved, guilty as charged. I couldn't look to God for salvation, He had to come to me. I don't deserve heaven, and if the Lord just left me in my sins, there would be nothing I could say except He did the right thing. He opened my eyes as to where I was heading though, and did this by grace, through faith in Him, itself a gift.

By the way, consider yourself invited to believe in this awesome God yourself if you haven't done so already. Of course you'll have to put that "good person" attitude aside in order to do so.

After reading these other answers---WOW. I'm almost ashamed to identify with this, whatever, you call--society.
First of all I would like to say that I'm not an incredibly religious person, and I'm not worried one bit. Stop me if you've heard this one: "THOU SHALL NOT JUDGE."...or at least if I'm not mistaken, I believe that's in the bible. My grandmother taught me that you carry Christ in your heart, and not on your sleeve. From what I've just read, most of these fools are shopping on Rodeo Drive for religious fashions...and the irony that I have found, thus far in life, is that the individuals who claim to be the most religious are also the ones who are the quickest to point the finger and judge others...as clearly demonstrated in most of these other responses.
If you believe He's watching you. He probably is. If you're kind to others, and treat others with consideration and respect (etc.etc.), then that's being as Christian as these lovely people (note: sarcasm) who sit in church every Sunday praying for your sins when they should be praying for their own.
And you know what else? GASP! God is relative!!! God is/means a lot of different things to a lot of different souls...all over the world and they're good people too. I doubt they're worried.

Yeah you can still be a good person and not have God in your life but if you want to make it to heaven you have to live and follow Gods will. Also we can really think were good people but without Christ man we are lost, blind, and confused. So if you want to be a better perosn be more like Christ and watch your life become so much more easier. You'll begin to see your problems fade away, Just know without Jesus Christ we are just living a life of pure misery. So man don't be confused by what the world saids just study the WORD OF GOD. ( THE HOLY BIBLE!)

We get saved only by the mercy and grace of God, not by our deeds. We accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior because we cannot go to heaven without Him.

You do not have to be a bad person to miss heaven, just listen someone telling "You do not have to believe in God if you are just a good person. Do not worry. Who needs God? "

If you want to be with God after you die, you need Jesus.

I have been told that I was a good man, a good husband. a good father and that may be true and it may not I guess it depends on who you ask. If you ask the people I work with if I was a good man I believe most of them would say I was. I hope so anyway. if you asked my wife if I was a good husband after twenty eight years of marriage I know she would say yes, I know that because she tells me that she loves me everyday, and if you asked my kids which are Amanda 26, Brittany 24 and, Bryan 22 if there dad was a good dad. I know they would say yes he is, because every time they see me they tell me how much they love me and I tell them how much I love them. and if you were to ask God if I was a good man and did I deserve to go to heaven. God would look down and say I love him and because he has believed with all his heart and confessed with his mouth that he believes in my Son Jesus Christ and he loves Him (Jesus Christ) I will forgive him of all his sins and he will be with Me in Heaven forever. God would tell you to read John 3:16-17.
John 14:6, John3:3, Romans 10:8-13, Eph. 2:8-9 Then God would tell you it isn't by your works that you have done that gets you into my Kingdom but by my Grace through Faith in my Son Jesus Christ Acts 4:12
I don't know who you are but I will pray that you will see the truth and the truth will set you tree.

That is because nobody is a complete person, and everyone sins. It is through Jesus that we may be redeemed of our sins. I do not think, that God believers really worry about anything.

But that we put our faith in God and overcome our doubts and sins or worries if we have any.

I believe, because without God, I'm not a goos person. God has made me into the "good" person I am today. But take Him away, and I will, guaranteed, go back to all my deceitful ways.
