The logic that many pro illegal Mexican supporters use is that they are coming here for a better life. Well, if that's the rational, why not let starving Ethiopians or the displaced people from Sudan come here? They are surely more deserving and in much more need of our help. I'm sure they would appreciate it much more, and wouldn't slap us in the face and protest demanding this is their country.

I mean to say, let these people from Africa come here without having to go through the process. I mean, if we need all these workers and only a poor immigrant will "do jobs that Americans won't", why not a grateful group of people? Send a bunch of Carnival cruise ships and bring them here now!

Mexicans, Hondurans, Puerto Ricans, Salvadorians, etc.. They're not 'just lookin' for a better life' --- they're lookin' for the easy way out. They milk the system, rape our citizens, bring diseases, drugs, etc...

Just because people in Ethopia are starving doesn't mean we should let them here too.

Do you even stop to think about AMERICAN CITIZENS? OUR NEEDS SHOULD COME FIRST! We've been here for decades upon decades. We don't have enough room to take in everyone who needs help.

Sh*T! Deal with the cards you've been dealt. THE UNITED STATES is NOT everyone elses' mother, you know. It's' time other countries step up to the plate and take on responsibility in this world.

And it's time every American wakes up and realizes that we can't continue to be the GREAT NATION if we keep allowing people in who have no respect for this country.

I'd be willing to bet that if one day China ever opens its borders, there will be a FLOOD of Chinese immigrants to the US. Considering how overpopulated China is, and how poor it is outside of the large cities, there will be a 100 year waiting list for passage to the US.

Here's the major difference, though. There are only 100 million people in Mexico (according to the 2000 census). There are estimates of 10-12 million Mexican nationals living in the US (legally or otherwise). On the other hand, China has over 1.2 BILLION people. So there are TEN TIMES as many Chinese as Mexicans. So if even 1% of the Chinese come to the US, that's 12 million Chinese immigrants. But the main thing that would make Chinese immigration more desirable is that because of the traditional Asian way of life, Chinese people are very RESPECTFUL, something that all these illegal Latinos can take a lesson from.

This man or woman heavily desires an Immigration lawyer, it extremely is probably the only way. some companies do professional bono artwork, consistent with danger you are able to help her in reasearching which companies could help her for little or no money. you are able to start up up by skill of contacting the State Bar of the state her deceased huband lived. Sorry i'm no longer a lot help. And sorry for her loss.

And if one of those countries would be our neighbor instead of Mexico, we woul dstill have the problem of a third world country looking for handouts. No, I am not racist and I do feel sorry for many people and their way of life, but they need to make the effort to legally get here and get the benefits they deserve. I am for any person, from any country who is trying to better themselves to do so, but do it right and legally, and once that is done, to have some pride and respect for the country that let them in...!!!!

Illegal aliens don't even care about their own countrymen that come here legally. And a lot of their countrymen are mad at hell that they waited their turn, came here legally, and others come here demanding amnesty. What makes you think the illegal aliens or "pro illegal Mexican supporters" will care about people from other countries????

Really......seems to me we've done more than our fair share of helping out the southern border. Maybe it is time we start shuting that border down and bring in the poverty striken from other 3rd worlds. Balance things out a little more fairly.

nobody said this is THEIR country, where are you getting this? they just want to be let work and not have people breathing down their necks and breaking into their homes asking for documentation they are just trying to live their lives out. Anything we do now probably won't matter in a hundred years, it's pretty stupid to get so worked up over something thats doing you good. And they should let any one who is needy come over here, through an easier legal process, that will actually make them think they can do the legal process before they are 60 years old.

they do get to immigrate. why are you assuming they don't? and by the way....for everyone complaining about all the crime, yada yada yada....all of that stems from little or no education. there are many people from the sudan and ethiopia who don't know how to hold a pencil, much less read or write. so...i'm not saying they shouldn't be welcome, but i am saying...be prepared to take on the upkeep...and it's A LOT. i don't think there is any "greener grass" on this issue. besides, the sudan and ethiopia are full of radical muslim extremists. (i'm stressing radical extremist...nothing wrong with muslims, only extremists) should we welcome them over? personally, i'd prefer a catholic...

I think that it should be fine for anyone to immigrate to the U.S., as long as they do it legally. They also need to learn how to speak English first.
