i confessed to a guy that i like.
his reply was "im very flattered, as you have pointed out, im attached. im sure you will find someone nicer than me in near future and look back upon this with a smile"
my qns: am i rejected flat or he's puting it in a nice way, leaving open doors for the future??
I told him I didn't want to expect anything from him. This seem isn't quite right.

I confessed despite knowing he's attached cause i wanna live with no regrets. I tld him I don't wish to look back my past one day wishing I should have revealed my feelings to him probably 3, 5, or even 10 years down the road.

Just to see if he is one man who is able to resist temptation and that I was right about him right from the start. That simple. Actually I am happy and glad to get rejected. I wasn't expecting anything anyway. My intention was at the very least, he will be aware of my feelings, although it will not be reflected back the way i desire. It doesn't really hurt confessing to someone you like, and yet get rejected. Well, at least i've earned myself a friend. :)

You were rejected, he is obviously in love with his partner.

You've nicely been rejected...and you should be glad your were because if he's attached and then showed an interest in you, he wouldn't be worth going out with because that would make him a cheater. He worded it very nicely that's he's not interested in anyone other than the person he is with now. There are no doors left open for the future...he's nicely telling you to find someone else that isn't attached.

I hate to break it to u but yes u were rejected however in a very nice way. A guy who didn't care the least bit would not wish u to have better men in ur life for the future, so appreciate his kind rejection I think it spared u a lot of embarrasment. Good luck

He's telling you to move on in a nice polite way. His comment about finding someone in the near future is just his way of trying to keep your confidence up. He thinks you're great enough to find someone else soon...just not him. Your door to him is now officially closed.
Stop looking for an excuse to hold on for something that's not going to happen. You might miss out on meeting an unattached guy who you'd be better off with.

He's just rejected you. STRAIGHT UP!!!
At the same time, he sounded like he was trying to sound like a smartass. That is the impression I got from what you typed. Plus he told you that he was attached and that you will find someone nicer than you. He also doesn't want to cheat on whoever he's with, so that should be respectable. Other than that, move on from this guy and go on to someone else who's 10 times more exciting than him!

Maybe he really does have a girlfriend, I thought that was a really nice the way he said it. I wouldn't say that he was leaving a door open though.
