i was just trying to make conversation with this guy at work, he's always nice to me, i told him my friend thinks he sexy, he said well she's sexy too, so asked him what type of girls he likes and he said that was a personal question and he wasn't going to answer, ok , wtf?

Maybe because he likes you,
like your the "type" he likes but he didn't have the guts to say it.

well first of if your friend likes him u better check with her first before u go up to him and second of all if he thinks shes "Sexy" than he must have a thing for her. I would wait it out and see if they get together and if they dont ask ur friend if she minds u askin him out and if she clears it then go for it and just straight out tell him u would like to meet him for dinner some night this week.

Well in all fairness he has a right to have privacy...I mean you're not his mother. Technically he doesn't have to tell you anything and you should respect that. He is a smart man to keep his personal business to himself. Unless it involves you...then you should stay out of it. That is how gossip gets started at work and he probably thinks you are going to start the gossip train!!

I would not get upset, If he is single, possible he might have someone in mind he likes, and it might be you?? Remember it's is not wise to flirt while working, so breifly ask him out to coffee or to hang somewhere together. Actually make it a double date invite some friends to join. then maybe during a conversation, he may/may not tell you who he likes

Maybe he thought you were getting "too involved" in setting the 2 of them up. Maybe he wanted to tell her directly what type of girl he likes, when the time came. He probably wanted to get a chance to assess her better before answering too. I think he just was not prepared to answer and didnt want to screw it up.
