There is a person that I have dated off and on and they are not very good looking AND their personality isnt SOOO great....I cant even figure out why I keep coming back. Is this wrong to do to the guy? He doesnt really seem to care...but I dont like playing this role.

I don't think it's a good idea...I mean, it's not fair to him because he's going to think you really care for him, and it's not fair to you either because you're just cheating yourself out of finding Mr. Right by staying with someone you're not crazy about. I say just be friends with this guy as long as you feel this way, and if you eventually feel more for him someday, then take it to the next level. In the meantime, don't just settle!

You don't have to be physically attracted to someone for them to be a good person...I'd much rather date a sweet and sincere person than a good looking one that's a jerk. But, you say this person doesn't even have that great of a personality. You should really just move on. There is a chance that he's thinking the same way about you since you say that he doesn't really seem to care...could be your both using each other.

Honey, there's no issue with dating a guy you're not physically attracted to (in fact that's GOOD a lot of times, it means you're going by their personality! And when you love someone they become beautiful to you), but what you should be worried about is thinkin his personality "isn't SOOO great"... this is not the best sign in the world. Not really my present boyfriend wasn't that good looking or have that great of a personality in the beginning but hes changed a lot personality wise and now that i love him i think hes much cuter

Looks are not supposed to mean anything if you love a person, but we are a fickle, shallow society and one day, it may hit you. If it doesn't then good for you. Do what makes you happy, don't mind what other people think. They are not with him, you are..

okay....physical attraction isnt EVERYTHING but it is a priority.....not being shallow just being realistic....but personality is more important....if his personality isnt so great just find another guy...ur right u should be playing any roles just be real and u will find real true hapiness

perhaps its the fact that he doesnt care or isnt hung up on you that keeps you comming back??!!! jmo. he probably really doesnt care....so tell me, what are you gaining from this relationship. i would hope that if nothing else, that @ least the s e x is mind blowing. otherwise move on.

If you date someone to whom you're not attracted, you'd just be leading them on, and it wouldn't be fair to either of you. Get out while you still can.
