Yes it can... my bf and i have had it for long and we are in love... but LDR needs a higher level of commitment than normal ones... meaning you should really have feelings for this person and vice versa so it can work.

It depends on how much you care about the other person. I've been in a long distance relationship for 5.5 months and its been the best relationship... He is actually moving back this weekend. So it can work if you both make an effort.

Yes. It is still an emotional relationship, and it can be very important. My friend got to know her future husband over the phone only, long distance, now they're married.

it depends
i think to be a REAL long distance relationship the couple should already have been dating for sometime before hand (like a couple of months AT LEAST)
