So well... i am indian(hindu) and my bf is colombian(hispanic) we are totally in love with each other and are planning a future togather... problem is my parents. I belong to a very very very conservative family. i dont know how to go about telling my parents about it. and i am scared alot to hurt them because i love them and till now i think they have given me more freedom then any other girl in our family has. I love my parent alot and i know they loves. i am a single child.i dontknow what to do. any suggestions... ??? i am like trully in love with this guy and i mean he is the best thing that has ever happened to me ... :-(.

If you tell them that you really love him, I am sure that they will understand, Your parents want you to be happy, that is why they give you all that freedom. I have a lot of Indian friends, I know how conservative those families can be, but I am sure if you tell them the truth that everything will work out. They have to find out sometime right? maby let them meet him, as a friend, before you tell them that you love him, so they get a good impression, then later, you tell them when he is not their. That way it isn't just some random guy that you are telling them about that they have no idea what he is like. Let them get a good impression first. Good Luck!

Well you need to sit down with your parents and explain to them that you love them and u see they have given you a lot of freedom and that you hope they will be open minded about the situation. Explain to them how much you love this guy and that it would mean the world to you and him both if you can be with him. MAke sure you include a lot of the good things about your bf so they can see he is good guy too.

I had the same thing happen to me. My girlfriend is Hispanic and I am white. My mom can't stand that I date interracially and I have learned to just seperate my time with the two of them because it is love and love is most important. If your parents don't get along, just divide the time, or it will get frustrating in the relationship. Just say that you love him no matter what and there is nothing you could do about it to break it up.

yah I hate parents to they will tell you its puppy love or something it realy pisses me off when they do that. anyways the longer you keep it from them the longer they will get mad at you personoly I would keep it a secret untill you move out of your parents house
