I'm a 43 year old man who looks really good for his age - she is a
lovely 19 year old girl I met in our yoga class. We get along famously and really enjoy each other's company. There's clearly positive energy between us - yet I can't tell for sure if she "likes" me like, you know - likes. Or does she see me as kind of an "uncle figure"? Sadly, I'm at that age now where it could go either way and I don't want to embarrass myself, or ruin an interesting relationship. What would you do?

ok .. first and foremost she is to young for u...BUT I'll give u a clue on female behavior no matter what age she is.. if she is expression body language towards u then probability is she is interested. but if she isn't then u have ur answer, does she mention boyfriends.. if she does then it is a way to tell u she is not interested. if something is to spark it will when the time is right take it as it comes do not over analyze it u will lose the momentum

At your age, no matter how good looking you are for your age, this young lady could be your daughter........I would say that friendship would be fine, but anything beyond that would be a bit difficult to say the least.

You must remember being that age and any attractive older woman was interesting and rather mysterious to you also....remember Mrs. Robinson.?????

If she is a lovely girl, her parents would not be too keen on having their daughter dating someone that is close to their age. I am sure that you can find some lovely women in their thirties who would enjoy the company of a forty-three year old good looking man who is interested in being healthy and exercising. Sorry to be so blunt. Have a good night.

I'm 24 dating a 39y/o and I can say yes your ages are too far apart. He and I struggle even with 10 less years difference think of it this way... when shes 40 you'll be in your mid 60's she wants a baby, you want a wheel chair. Plus 19 is very young for a serious relatonship especially with an older man.

This girl may be looking for a father figure, not a relationship with a older man.Think how you would feel if your daughter bought home a older man.Don't take the girl to bed when you can get some heavenly points from GOD! or should I say child predator, and tell you Jesus will deal with you in the end.

I would safely say that perhaps she is too young. You may disagree, but having something in common is very important. You may want to reminisce about an old song and may feel the harsh reality that she wasn't even born when that song was made. How are you going to feel around her friends who probably can't drink yet? Or her parents for that matter...save yourself the embarrassment and look for someone closer to your age. I will give you this advice as 24 year old woman..good luck.

I do not think you are to old, I happen to like a 25 year old very much. Just have fun as long as it lasts. She will go for someone more near her age. But until she does you should enjoy being with her.

I'm sorry, but you are old enough to be her father, and I personally think a relationship other than friends or a kind of uncle or father one would be very wrong for you two. She's too young for you. But be careful that if she does like you that you don't hurt her feelings. You two could be great friends and still have fun hanging out.

I would go for it....ask her if she would want to get some coffee or go catch a movie later after yoga....something like that just to see if she is interesting in you in that way.....trust me if she really "likes" you she will jump at the chance to grab some coffee and than take things from there......some girls like older guys.....i know i do....i am 25 and currently engaged to a 47 year old.....so you never know.....good luck :)))

I think you should date people closer to your age, she is more likely to see you as a father figure at that age. 24 years is a big difference.

She is way too young for you. Leave her alone and find someone your own age!!
