what softwares i need to learn to be a good and professional Video or Movie editor ?

what software i know of that makes your videos professional (with cool effects, transitions etc.) is Pinnacle Studio.
try the latest version at http://www.pinnaclesys.com
i used it b4 and its awesome. you can try it for 30 days..then you have to pay. although its pretty expensive, money shouldnt be a problem if the video is really important to you.
watch out when you get close to the expiration date of the trial though..cuz for me the software was acting glitchy then.

as far as a teaching software i have no idea.
