Ironically, it depends on what you mean by truth.

If you're referring to truth about the meaning of life, then it does depend on each person's perspective, and therefore, under that meaning truth is relative.

If you are referring to the speed of light, on the other hand, it is 186,000 miles per second. And even if you are moving at close to the speed of light and shine a flashlight ahead of you, it will still seem to race on ahead at 186,000 miles per second. This is only possible because when you approach that speed, time has slowed to a snail's pace for you. But the speed of light is a constant in our universe.

Truth is Truth, when it leads to perception, it is relative and so the Truth without perceptions is absolute.

Like if you say truth is relative, for that truth to be perceived in different relative ways, there should be something which exists. That alone is actually Truth and the perceptions can be called relative truth.

Truth is truth, it cannot be relative.
If it were relative, it could not be a truth.
Only in the schools in our country can truth be one thing to one person and something else to others.
If it is not truth to all, it cannot be truth at all.

Reading what NH Baritone said, I wonder if truth to him is like IS is to Bill Clinton.

No. That's an oximoron. Truth is true. SOmething relative is different with perception.

You could have asked is the truth knowable? Thats probably more what you are driving at.

The truth is not relative. If you would state that truth is relative, that statement is fact. Facts are truth. Truth is not relative. There are facts and falicies. NO IN BETWEEN.

What if I said yes? Then would that truth be relative too?

Therefore the answer must be no.

No, "realitve truth" is just a convoluted way of saying "opinion". There is a principle called mutual exclusitivity. That means that two completely opposite things cannot both be "truth". I suppose there is a possibility that two things are equally "good", and thus it doesn't matter "which one" but that means that the truth is that both options are okay. I hope that made sense.

In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God. Before there was time God spoke only of truth. The only true truth you'll find is in God!
