i confessed to a guy that i like.
his reply was "im very flattered, as you have pointed out, im attached. im sure you will find someone nicer than me in near future and look back upon this with a smile"
my qns: am i rejected flat or he's puting it in a nice way, leaving open doors for the future??

he is telling you to move on and nicely......he is attached and therefore no feelings for you ......you never know what the future brings.....be happy and continue fishing

That seems like a very flat out, 'I'm trying to let you down gently and there's a less then 1 % chance of me coming to you in the future' reply. It seems pretty obvious that he's 'attached.'
