God has no reproductive organs. It is just easier to use "He" and keep the bible from becoming so wordy that nobody would read it. Every notice how they also skip most of the last names in both sections too? They will sometimes that that lame path of using the city name of where someone hailed from. John the Baptist's last name was really Duschomortshykonstantimoplosky. Other names were even longer. Judas' last name came from a parking violation at the Temple Mount where he asked the Roman ticket maid, "Is my chariot double parked?", and the other drunken Apostles thought me said Iscariot. It was so funny that the name stuck. It was nowhere close to his real last name of Hokigefeltieflemmburg. God is not sensitive in the personal pronoun area and often jokingly said, "You cane call ME anything except LATE FOR ARMAGEDDON!"

when HE is mentioned, that does not mean masculine. He is beyond the genders.
All great religions point that God is the source of all religion. God the source of all intelligence and so no religion could dare address him as "IT". So for people to understand in common terms, the male is source of birth and female (mother) is the nourisher of life. So God being the source is considered to be male and His own Nature is portrayed as Mother Nature (Female).
In our culture Hinduism, God is not different from the Nature. So the He (God as he is) and She (God as Nature) forms are the same. It is portrayed by the symbolism called Ardhanaareeswara in Hindusim where Shiva (God) and Sakthi (Nature) are one and the same.
So this is not to decry at women, for women are those who are gifted to be mothers. Motherhood is worship worthy. Few people may abuse it today. That does not reduce their worthiness. To be a true female as a symbol of love, affection, dedication, motherhood, tolerance is something great always and that is why they are mothers.
It is a great symbol of sacrifice, love and dedication. That is why in our culture there are many natural forces portrayed as forms of God worshipped and revered as Mother.

Actually God is a being not Human. God is neither male or female. God created Adam in his image, but he created Eve from Adam's rib. Whats to say Eve wasn't created in Adam's Image!

"Where I come from, people take turns"
God is not people, and He gets to be God because He alone creates everything including you, me, and those people where you come from. So, embrace him and get over it already.

the bible was written by humans. if you believe that god is a "he" then it's a "he". that's just what you believe. most christians believe that god is a "he" because that's how the bible describes it. what and how you choose to believe is just that.....your choice. remember, nobody can force you to believe in anything
