More details please. The only thing I can say with what you've said is: Is he avoiding or lying about subjects like where was he? Why didn't he return your call? Why was he late? Who was that girl he was talking to?
The obvious signs are that he isn't acting like just a friend with another girl, or if gives any girl a suspicious sidelong look. If he's checking out other girls it may not be cheating, but if goes any further than that, confront him.
Basically, talk to him if you're not sure. If he acts weird when you do, that might be a sign of cheating. Also, if he lies or makes to many assurances that he isn't cheating, put your guard up.

If he keeps his phone on silent or leaves it in the car now, if he is new to working out, if he gets phone calls he won't answer, if he gets mad if you ask to many questions, if he acts like you are bothering him different times that you call. If he buys different clothes or suddenly is worried about what he wears, if he doesn't come or call when he says he will. If he doesn't answer his phone, if he is always looking on line, or searching the net. If he watches alot of porn (by himself) If he becomes very critical of you or things you do or if things just seem to bother him more than they used to. quick tempered or just plan ill. That pretty much sums it up!

I think he is cheating when he doesn't come around as much or call. I really think he is cheating when he is accusing me of cheating. That is a big red flag.

1. start gettin excuses to not do things w/ u
2. if he c's a certain girl and makes eye-contact w/ her like the look like call me or sumthin.
3. ur friends mite tell u that they've seen him w/ sum other girl.
4. he acts a certain way(like flirting or sumthin like luv) around her

Follow him. Or have a friend follow him. Clues: he doesn't see you as often as he use to. He doesn't want as much sex as he use to. He constantly critices you.
