I used to be the same way. What I would do is kinda what I do when I meet new people at the bar or something. Don't worry about what the other people are thinking about. Remember that there is always going to be someone that does worse than you up there.
All that stuff about imagining everyone in theier underwear never helped me. Just say "screw it", bet up there, and remember that someone else is going to look more like an idiot up there than you. The whole thing is to keep in mind that you don't care about what they think or say, you are doing this for a grade. The only one that should matter is the teacher.
Good luck, man.

I used to have awful creepy feelings during speeches. Then I started keeping tissue in my pocket for my sweaty palms. You can powder your hands ahead of time. I was still freaky though, so I dug a fingernail into my finger. No one noticed it and it distracted me from my nervousness. Practice will at least make your speech flow better. Practice in front of a mirror so you can practice your facial expressions and your posture. Practice when you are driving alone. Breath deep before the speech to get more oxygen flowing. This may sound extreme and silly, but give it a try until you are more comfortable giving speeches.

Try this---first, be sure you thoroughly know your material. That way, you don't panic being afraid to forget something. Use note cards and hold on to them, that way you can disguise your shaking hands. Also, use hand gestures to "shake" the shakes out of your hands. Take deep breathes before you present. Finally, focus on something in the classroom you are comfortable with---so long as it is in the general direction of your audience (don't stare out the window while you talk. LOL)

pretend (for ur hands) that your pedestal or paper or notecards are ur bike handles. find a spot on the wall behind the students to stare at and shift ur eyes to 2 spots on the wall so it looks like ur making eye contact with others. make sure ur clothing is comfortable and u look nice so u dont feel un comfortable or embarrased.
