The whole swim thing is a bit random so it maybe true. I don't like giving out my number unless i really know the person well. And you didn't sound pushy to me. If i was a dude.. next time you both are on AIM don't write first see what she does. If she's really into you she'll want to know how your are.

No, you didn't sound too pushy. Sounds like, at the very least, she's interested in pursing a friendship with you. Without knowing her and only get part of one conversation it's hard to say whether or not she's interested in dating you. I say ask her out. It's the only way you'll find out for sure.

Sounds like she's blowing you off. the good thing about email is that you don't have to REALLY talk to a person and you don't have to answer right away... then again - maybe she WILL have coffee with you. GOOD LUCK!
