I believe that God will reveal Himself to people when He feels they are ready. I was in a bible study in high school and whatever verse it was I just didn't agree with it and understand it. Several people there really cared and wanted me to "get it". After several minutes of trying one of the youth leaders said that it was OK for me not to "get it" right now and that it may very well be God Himself blocking it from me. We were pretty stunned as we had never heard of God blocking your brain and heart from understanding something. She said that this may not be the right time in my life for me to delve into that particular verse and that God has a plan and will open me up to it when it's necessary. I totally agree with that and now know of lots of instances that God hardens hearts and others when someone finally "gets it". I think we all don't understand many things in this world and how they relate to verses that we read in the bible - I'm OK with not knowing right now. I just pray that in God's time He will reveal it to me and I ask Him to lead me to what He wants me to learn now.
God Bless!!

It is hard to believe in a god when there are so many bad things in life today. For many believing in a god is the same as believing in Santa Claus, fairies, dragons, and the Easter bunny.
For many the bible is just a book, like The Lord of the Rings or Stephen King novels. While you could easily make a religion out of many novels, religions of today have used the bible.
In my studies, I have found the bible used today to have many inconsistencies. I have also found out that many of the stories found in this bible were around thousands of years before even the Hebrews supposedly started. I have researched many facts, tales, and myths.
There are many people like me, who have made educated decisions about our beliefs. While I do not believe in your god, I feel that if your religion and belief system works for you, you should glory in it. But, just because it works for you does not mean it will work in everyone's life. I know you feel you need to convert people, but some of us have already made up our minds through careful study.

Some people find it hard to believe there is a loving God when their personal lives are going down the tube. For instance, a mother who just lost her whole family to a car crash isn't going to believe in God after losing everything that ever meant anything to her, much less to the consoling of fellow friends. Plus, science basically runs on proving things fact or fiction, and since these are proven methods that we are raised to, it's harder to believe in a spirit in that exists in another realm of reality.

I have the same thoughts about music sometimes. To me, Pink Floyd made some of the best music ever. This is a fact to me. But others disagree. I often wonder how it is possible for them not to see it the same way I do, but some people are just different, some people just like different things.
Same goes with belief. It may baffle you that some people (myself included) do not believe in your god, but that's just the way we are.

People don't want to believe in something that doesn't suit their tastes or lifestyle. The always assume that if they believe then they will have to change. People don't like changes. They don't want to leave their comfort zones. Their ideas about God come from misbeliefs and the only way that they will come to know the truth is when they are ready to receive it. Only God knows.
Just keep planting seeds. Some of then will take root when the right elements come into place.

Most of the people who do not believe in God, do not want to believe in Him. It is not because they cannot find proof of his existence, but most of them do not want to find out the truth, because they love the wicked way in which they live; and they know that if they begin to believe in God, that they will have to give up their wicked ways of living. They do not want to read the Word of God, or to know any more about the truth than they just have to, because they know that they will have to change their ways of living. They try and not even think about the matter, because they know that some day they are going to have to give account unto God for the way that they live their lives while on this earth. They think that as long as they do not know, or face the truth, that they are not going to be held accountable for their wicked life which they live. But you can count on this truth; that every one of us is going to stand in the presence of the Lord, and give account for the way that we live our life while upon this earth. And you can rest assured that it will not be very long in the future, until that day comes to pass; when we will all give account of our actions. For Jesus is coming back soon! Very Soon!

Miracles happen all of the time. When they do,most people always assume that a supernatural force was behind the miracle. So I ask u,why is it so hard for you to believe that when a miraculous event occurs, that's all it is,a miracle and nothing more?

Without the intervening, regenerating work of the Holy Spirit upon the sinful heart, it is impossible to have faith in God.

A few will hear you and a few won't - don't be discouraged by the numbers that don't .... testimonies are still in the making daily ... you just carry on doing what you do ...
