I had sinus surgery in 2003. All of my sinuses were completely blocked and continually running. They did NOT break my nose. I was told they no longer do the "window" surgery. They did what they call endoscopy on me. They went up my nose and cleaned out my sinuses and shaved part of them off so they would not plug up again. There was very little pain and the surgery was done as an outpatient. It was the best thing I could have had done.

My wife is making the decision to have the surgery now. She had the scan two weeks ago and they recommend the surgery.

What they told her -

She would have it done as a day surgery. She would be put to sleep and they would remove some bone & cut down the size of three little "flappers" in her nose. They would NOT pack her nose. (This was a big concern she had). She would take it easy for a few days but could have a pretty normal routine during recovery.

We have to wait six weeks for approval from insurance.

She wants her sinus suffering to be over and I do for her.

I have had many sinus infection over the years and have had impacted sinusitis. My sinus were blocked up, first yellow and later turned to green mucus, very yucky!!! Very sick!!! Mine was clear up by super duper antibiotics. I used regular ones, but they didn't do ant good. Very, very expensive antibiotics!!! My friend had sinus surgery and now she can't smell. They didn't break her nose either.

I went to a Traditional Chinese Medic (TCM) and he prescribed a course with a couple of homeopathic drops that worked to eliminate my sinusitis -- the homeopathic drops will be different for each person. If you know of a highly esteemed TCM I highly recommend that route.... all this surgery stuff treats our bodies like they are cars or computers... they are not.

God bless!
