Easiest way is very simple
1. Click Internet Explorer "Help" (usualy on top line of your browser)
2. Then click "About Internet Explorer"

The following information should be available - the values of each will vary depending on the software you have installed
- Version: x.x.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxxxxxxx
- Cipher Strength: xxx-bit
- Product ID: xx-xxx-xxx-xxxxxxx-xxxxx
- Update Versions:; SP2 (means Service Pack2)

Right click on My computer, choose properties.
You will see the configuration of your computer on "general tab".

If you have installed sp2 the "service pack 2" will be displayed on general tab
