I'm curious if other religions have moral obligations against taking their god(s) name in vain.
Ie. Christians aren't supposed to say "Oh My God," "Goddam," etc.

Okay. I KNOW you aren't going to literally be "SENT TO DAMNATION" for taking God's name in vain. THEORETICALLY, according to the 10 commandments, you aren't supposed to take God's name in vain. (Why is everyone so freaking nitpicky?)

And I said [god] because I want to include other religions who don't worship God, but other gods. (Note: Capitalization difference)

If we love Jehovah with our whole heart, mind, soul and vital force we shall not think of worshiping other gods or idols or of taking his name in vain.

Matt 22:36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 He said to him: “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’ 38 This is the greatest and first commandment

titles like allah mean THE GOD.
THE WORD GOD IS NOT HIS NAME. BUT I STILL WOUILDNT SAY IT. HE HEARS EVERYTHING.

I think taking Gods name in vain could be a number of things. Actions are louder than words. As a Christian everything we do represents Christ, any misrepresentation is using the name of Christ invain. We as humans are natured to the world, the world is natured to sin and chaos. As Christians we still fall and nonbelievers use our falts to judge us. Jesus said "Love thy God with all thy heart, mind and spirit"

What about

"In God We Trust" While we use that money to pay for death and war and prostitution and drugs and Windows Vista.

How about "One Nation Under God" that makes slaves out of people for the color of their skin, makes war, snubs nations like Cuba, North Korea and France.

We all do the name-in-vain thing in my family. To date, dare I say it, no one has been smited by holy lightning while standing around cursing up a storm of god names.

I would think in any religion, you would have to use the god in questions name, not the generic "god" to take its name in vain.
