Go to your pharmacy or even Walmart and get L-Lysine,it will be in the vitamin section, like where they put the bottle of vitamin c,and stuff. They usually stock them in alphabetical order so it should be easy to find.Anyway I have been taking a pill everyday some times every other for about 6-7 years now and have not has one cold sore,I used to get at least two a year, theres something in the Lysine that prevents them. It's safe to take it's just like taking any other vitamin.Never use Carmex or Abreva,or anything that you apply w/ your finger, its spreads the germs and may cause more sores to appear.Good Luck.I promise this works!

if it is really bad i would see a doctor (maybe a specialists if you get them often) or go to CVS or walgreens and get abreva or something like that for cold sores. it is amazing. if you don't want to pay that much just keep applying chapstick on regularly throughout the day (do the same with the abreva or whatever other cold sore meds. you have). oo blistex also has good stuff for cold sores. anyway just keep applying throughout the day and it should be okay in a few days at most.
if nothing happens i would see a doctor because it may be something other than a cold sore.
good luck and hope my advice helped.

Buy a tube of Campho Phenique and apply the tip to the sore about 3 times a day, with a little pressure. It's gonna sting a little but forces the little sore to pop and in a few days will go away.

Don't touch it, put some cold sore ointment like Abreva on it, and rent some movies. Drink lots of water.
If you have cold sores often, it could be a type of Herpes, and you should see your doctor to check if everything's alright.

Take L-Lysine amino acid internally. Apply hydrogen peroxide to the outside. Keep applying every 2-3 hours.

Abreva works overnight on these annoying buggers for me. It's expensive but it works. Check at your local grocery store, drug store, or Costco.
Temperature changes (cold or hot) and even stress can bring cold sores on so always be prepared and treat them as soon as that tell-tale itch flares up.

If you put rubbing alcohol on it as soon as you feel it coming on, it will be gone the next day. You can still put alcohol on it a few times a day and it will dry it up...good luck this weekend at the party!

I dont get them but, if I did, I would apply some cold sore ointment to it such as campho-phynique.
If you get them all the time, you may want to get it checked...it is a type of Herpes, you know.
